Adrian Mackenzie

Adrian Mackenzie (Centre for Social and Economic Aspects of Genomics, Lancaster University) does social research in areas of new media, wireless and genomic cultures. He has studied the cultural life of software, and how software has taken on cultural value, (Cutting code: software and sociality New York: Peter Lang., 2006). He has recently been working on signal processing, looking at how artists, activists,
development projects, and community groups are making alternate or competing communication infrastructures.
